How do we replace outdated software and reduce the high risk of error in the revenue-generating processes of gas optimization and trading, which currently rely on manual data entry, calculations, and subjective industry knowledge?

 

The Solution:

Build an intelligent system that standardizes processes, automates calculations, eliminates manual inputs, and provides accurate data for both Gas Optimizers and Market Traders.

 

Key Components:

  • Deep Domain Research – Conducted empathy gathering sessions with Optimizers and Traders while interviewing stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand complex gas processing procedures.

  • Experiential Learning – Sent designers on gas processing plant tours to gain first-hand understanding of operations and process flows.

  • Comprehensive Journey Mapping – Built detailed journey maps and task flows to identify how users interact with data and the logic behind critical processes.

  • Iterative Prototype Testing – Performed early and frequent usability testing with Optimizers and Traders to validate solutions and refine the design.

  • Automated Workflow Development – Created systems for auto-populated data fields and auto-calculated imbalance volumes to replace manual processes.
